Facnor AFX 2500 Spinnaker Furler

Facnor AFX 2500 spinnaker furler is Facnor's most popular spinnaker furler. We have sold and installed many of these over the past few years. They work very well for cruising or racing applications really simplifying sail handling of asymmetrical spinnakers. This unit we just put together for a 33ft cruising boat for use with his code 2 asymmetrical changing over from an ATN sock. These units are great and allow for the luff of the sail to remain free flying and not a fixture of the system.

Facnor LS Furler Install

Just finished an install of a Facnor LS Furler. This is a great furling system for cruising boats, very simple and well thought out unit. The unit can be installed without any cutting of headstay or extrusions. You may need to replace some hardware on turnbuckle for installation. We just installed an LS 100 for a Sabre 28 without removing headstay just built it in sections sliding them up the headstay as we went. Start to finish time for install was about 2 hours. Customer was very pleased and out sailing the following week after sail modifications were done. The Facnor LS/LX furlers are a great choice for the do it yourself boat owner.

This furler is a favorite among Europeans, and has been used in grueling offshore racing conditions. The LX/LS system is well engineered and offers a duarable rounded foil shape extrusion with nicely machined connecting link plates.The unit uses a traditional swivel, and the bottom telescoping foil section eliminates the need for cutting. Another key feature is neither the wire nor the turnbuckle have to be replaced. The bearing system contains a stainless thrust bearing and large polymer bearings for axial loads all housed in a compact drum.
